10th Anniversary: History Files “Monday edition”
The STNET History Files, a special segment with never seen before images and stories of the STNET history. This will be a daily release until the 22nd of September. Follow these releases by our RSS feed or Facebook page. A daily visit to our website is also an option.
The Monday Edition:
It’s September 15th 2003, the first edition of STNET has officially launched. The basic website Starbase 47 has been replaced with this new LCARS-based website.
New pages/segments made its introduction on STNET:
- Red Alert: a news-roll with Dutch Star Trek news.
- T.V. Report: Powered by Star Trek.nl, the Dutch T.V. Star Trek air-schedule.
- Crew Talk: a simple guestbook.
Beside these new segments, the main content didn’t changed. All the existing information on Starbase 47 was transferred to the new STNET site. Time told us that this design of STNET was not very maintenance friendly. This version of the site was heavily frame-based. Current designers can understand the difficulty in this design. So a new version of the graphical layout had to be designed.
