F.Productions vision for the future

A few days ago STNET announced the (until future notice) end of it’s podcast “The STNET Transponder”. This was due to the (not seriously) health conditions of the host/editor. Unfortually this is not the only change F.Productions will make during this year and the upcoming first half year of 2014. F.Productions and all its products will take a step back to reorganize and restructure the business model. This will mean a current slowdown of new updates and future plans for F.Productions. Here a more detailed explanation of all the upcoming changes:

  • STNET:
September will be the month of the 10 year anniversary of STNET. This party will continue without a special podcast episode, but this will be compensated with a week full of special STNET images and a possible STNET Windows 8 News App.

As announces earlier, STNET will be getting a complete overhaul. A new website and a new vision. STNET will go back to the roots of being a Voyager related website only. All the non-Voyager related Star Trek Online content will be set back to an archive. More information will be announced when available.

The new STNET website is scheduled for 2nd quarter of 2014 (subjected to change).

  • WebWave, codename: Dreamer:
WebWave Dreamer will still be in development because the new version of STNET will be based on this product. These 2 projects are running side-by-side as they move along.
WebWave Dreamer will feature the following features: More user friendly for touch screens, Adaptive to the viewer screen resolution: The website will adapt to your screen or mobile device, Search option, And more…

The new version of WebWave is also scheduled for 2nd quarter of 2014 (subjected to change).

For this month, the complete team of F.Productions is taking some R&R.
All of our services (including STNET) will take a break until September 1st. News related to STNET will be released after this date.

F.Productions will continue to deliver its services to our customers/viewers. But from now on, this will be done in a lower gear.
