Tuvok is the Starfleet Tactical/Security Officer for the Starship U.S.S. Voyager. His fit and active regimen and his ability to use his physical skills in battle inspire the Voyager crew, while his Vulcan equanimity and calm demeanor make him a valued peace keeper on the ship. Tuvok is one of the most respected members of the crew, with his powerful combination of wisdom, experience and vitality.

Tuvok and Captain Janeway have worked together for some time, and have a strong working relationship based on mutual respect and admiration; one will often turn to the other for counsel or support.
